S.C.O.R.E. Louisville recognizes that among the refugees from 30 countries, the children served at the English as a Second Language School (ESL) between the ages of four and 18 often cannot even communicate with each other due to language differences. Maybe the only common denominator is the international language of soccer. Providing soccer equipment and support to the children served by ESL will also give them a way of communicating with each other and a way of welcoming them to their new country through soccer which also connects them to their homelands.

These supplies and services require a substantial amount of money. We have already secured many new soccer balls, cones, and pinnies, however, we will need to purchase uniforms, soccer goals and other equipment. With your donation, these children will have an opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer and more importantly connect with each other in their new communities.
